Wahoozi.com sponsored LAN party at Neumont
First off I want to thank both the Neumont USG and Wahoozi.com for an spectacular LAN party last night. This turned out to be the USG’s best LAN party ever, and I think most of the credit should go to Wahoozi for that. They provided free pizza, drinks (including tons of my favorite Mountain Dew), and great advertisement flyers to announce the event. The Neumont staff did an excellent job setting up, cleaning up, and transporting carless students to the event.
There were, by my count, at least 100 people there making it very enjoyable for everyone. This provided a good amount of players for any game that anyone would have wanted to play. I saw tones of people playing Call of Duty 4 and thoroughly enjoying themselves. I was even able to pwned many times in the Warcraft 3 (Defense of the Ancients) DOTA game.
We can also thank Danny Warren for his excellent DJ’ing which helped provide most of us with great music while gaming, leaving us to worry about playing our games. Oh, and those of you who requested the rick roll and the even more gay spice girls song, your days of social acceptance are numbered (no one should be allowed to make so many people suffer, in other universities this would constitute some secret hazing like reactions, here it just might mean you might lose some keys off your keyboard
).
I feel that this was a huge success and that Neumont needs to continue to find great sponsors like Wahoozi.com to support these LAN parties. I can’t thank Wahoozi enough, as the biggest crowd we were able to draw by ourselves (the Neumont USG) were a little over 50 people, but they made it possible to bring 100+ gamers. They even did what I have rarely seen done at Neumont, and that was actually ordering more food when they saw that the first set was gone. Our lunchtime enterprise presenters should take note and follow suit.
So, we should all do a favor for Wahoozi.com and buy a shirt and refer a couple friends to their website. It’s the least we could do to repay them for the great party last night!
